Response to the BART Murder

I have been bouncing ideas in my head all day trying to figure out what exactly to say about the gruesome murder of Oscar Grant by former BART officer Johannes Mehserle. In fact I’ve have two partially written posts stored away that just didn’t feel right. I’ve been having a difficult time with this is because of the amount of emotion that shakes through me every time I get to writing about this. I mourn for Oscar Grant, for his infant and the rest of his family left behind. Watching the video below really shook me up and has caused me some real grief. I cautions other before they watch it.

I make it a point to search out police brutality stories; it’s a little hobby of mine. But this murder is the most graphic and despicable action I have ever witnessed on tape. This is where it differs from all other corrupt cop stories. Usually when you hear about a bunch of cops unloading bullets into a man, there is no video evidence to accompany such a story. You end up with a cop said, serf said hearsay story. In these cases the cops usually get off absolved of all charges and get to return to the job because the officer’s word is as good as gold, and you’re just a slave to the state. Excuses will be made, the thin blue line will shield its own, and the investigation will be swept under the rug. I’ve read about it dozens of times.

The BART Police are trying their hardest to follow the same game plan. Initial press release from the BART police state that former (he resigned after all the videos were released to the press) officer Mehserle may have accidently fired his pistol thinking it was his taser. The time of his resignation is also suspect, as it allowed him to not be questioned by the internal investigators. What is even more troubling is that Mehserle is also going to be able to draw funds from a police defense fund that was paid for by tax payers. From all the reports I have read lately, it still seems that Mehserle has yet to talk to anyone or make a statement. It has been over 1 week and still no arrests, no charges, no questioning, no nothing. Can’t you see that blue line closing in, allowing no access?

I guess it is believable (although I for one don’t believe it) to think that he thought he was firing his taser, after all most police departments around the country have been using them as means of pain compliance. It would not have surprised me as much to have seen Mehserle fire a taser into the back of Grant while he was restrained on his stomach with his hands behind his back. Even that would be horrible and evil, but not uncommon. As all the video’s show, Grant was unarmed, restrained, and compliant with the officers. With another officer kneeling on the back of Grant’s neck, Mehserle drew his service pistol took aim and fired, killing Oscar Grant.

I believe that Mehserle will be absolved of all charges against him. He may lose his job, but that’s about it. You and I are not equal to the agents of the state, and it should be becoming clearer to you that is not a class struggle, or even a race struggle that the people of this country are facing. No, it is an “Us vs. Them” struggle. Them being the state, and us their subjects. Because only subjects or serfs or slaves can be disposed of in such a ruthless manner without having any consequences brought upon the perpetrator. If we were equal to the police, then Mehserle should be in a cage with the other monsters of society. Cops are supposed to be held to a HIGHER standard than citizens, not a lower one. Cops were supposed to lay down their lives to protect the people’s life liberty and property, not take it away.

The United States has become a full fledged police state. This was not the tipping point; this country has been sliding in that direction for many years now. But hopefully this will wake people up to realize what is going on. This incident has left me with a scary thought, and this should be something you dwell upon as well. Any time a cop feels like it, they can kill you, and be able to take no responsibility for their actions. So as I’ve stated in the past, do not trust the police, they are not out to serve, nor protect you, but only there to hurt, injure, rob, or kill you.

Test the cop for steroids. Steroids are known to cause homicidal episodes of rage – this is one of the few logical explanations of this behavior.

Would the cop be any less responsible for his actions had be been on steroids? Or more?

The Federal government continues to run programs that militarize our police. I am sick and tired of seeing local and county police at events or protests in black military tactical clothing brandishing assault weapons at us, the citizens. Obama is calling for a civil defense force just as strong and well funded as the US Military, his words not mine. Why would the USA need a national force as strong as the world’s strongest military to police the citizens. Oh, that’s right, Hitler did that, too. The NWO is at your door.

Just wanted to add that even though the cop has been arrested, this article is still very relevant. All US citizens need to exercise their second amendment right. If there is any doubt what that right means, just read the words of the people that wrote the Constitution. Jefferson: “The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.” Our own government is more risk to our liberties than any “terrorist.”

I agree with bozo. Roid-rage was one of the first things I thought about when I saw that cop put a cap in that kid’s back.

I think the roids are the reason for the attempted cover-up too. Remember them trying to pull that “there were no recordings of the incident” and “we haven’t interviewed the officer” bullshit? Neither were true. BART actually tried to tell us they don’t have tape recording system for their cameras at Fruitvale for fuck sake! Also, they interviewed that pig within three hours of the shooting; he took the 5th and lawyered-up, and they lied about that for 11 days!

Steroid use by police is an epidemic, and the blue code of silence applies double for roids. After all… the public wouldn’t take too kindly to being arrested for smoking a joint by a fellow illegal-substance user, would they?

Roids cause the exact behavior exhibited by Johannes Mehserle, and it apparently wasn’t the first time either. I just saw on KTVU that Mehserle may have beat up another BART rider six weeks ago after overreacting to a comment that bruised his ego (http://www.ktvu.com/news/18489516/detail.html).

If there were a nation-wide outcry about this, communities would require steroid tests and the police won’t get their roids anymore; they would be labeled ‘lawbreakers” and would lose their “edge”. It’s their worst fucking nightmare!

By the way, I was on a jury that convicted a man of murder for killing his wife. He did it on drugs, but that didn’t matter to us… he still did it. He’s sittin’ in San Quentin doin’ 15-to-life for 2nd degree murder.

Personally, I don’t care what substance you take… but you need to remain in control of your actions and not infringe on the rights of other people while on them.
