Halo: Reach In-Game Trailer
If you were watching the Video Game Awards the other night you saw that Bungie has released a new trailer for the new Halo prequel, Halo: Reach, using the in-game engine. The video is nothing short of amazing and shows some of the incredible new advancements in the engine that they’ve been able to achieve. Also, the video showcases some of the other Spartans that will most likely be fighting alongside you. Hopefully the game will support a 4 player co-op mode and you’ll be able to have a couple of buddies all fighting alongside you in different Spartan gear (hear that Bungie?). It does look like some Spartans are specifically purposed for different things, ie one being for long range attacks, one for brute-force up close attacks, etc.
If Bungie decides to follow through with the possibilities shown with this video, Halo: Reach will be nothing short of a revolutionary new take on the Halo universe. Imagine a Gears of War style game play mixed in with a richly detailed environment and newly available choices in character customization. Even just the ability to play multiplayer as one of the other new classes of Spartan should promise an interesting new take on Halo multiplayer. You can view the new trailer below. Let me know what you thought of the video and what you’re hoping this signals for the prequel in the comments.
