Sony Patent Reveals PS2 Software Emulation
A patent has been found that details how the Sony Playstation 3 Cell processor can emulate the Emotion Engine chip from the Playstation 2. This would mean that all those people that bought the 40 and 80GB Playstation 3s can finally have the backwards compatibility that the more expensive and original 20 and 60GB versions of the system have. This means that all Playstation 3s could now have full software emulation of the Playstation 2. This would be amazing news if true and would allow for fans to enjoy their PS2 library again or play old games that they missed out on. I personally am excited about this as I have been wanting to play God of War I & II (really looking forward to God of War 3) but unfortunately have the 60GB version with no backwards compatibility.

Thanks for the kind words. We'll keep doing what we're doing. I know the site hasn't been updated that much lately, but all of us have been busy. Hopefully that will change in the near future and we can start updating more regularly again.
