Windows 7 Performance Beats Vista/XP
With the recent leak of Windows 7 Beta 1 (Build 7000) the outlook for the future operating system is beginning to improve. Adrian Kingsley-Hughes from ZDnet took the time to put the new OS through it’s paces and compared it to XP and Vista. Windows 7 showed improvement in almost all departments over XP and Vista. Although it’s a bit early to get our hopes up too high, if Microsoft is able to fix the performance of Vista and provide a more secure, stable, and faster operating system it might stem the tide of defection to OSS and Apple. The signs are starting to look good though.
